Mrs. Puente's English Website

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mrs. Puente attended Louisiana State University to earn both her B.A. and M.Ed. After graduate school she moved to Texas and began her teaching career at Ball High School in Galveston. For the six years prior to coming to Challenge, Mrs. Puente taught junior and senior English at Denton High School gaining experience teaching IB English III, AP Language and Composition, and Dual Credit. The 2014-15 school year will mark her third year at Challenge where she will be teaching English III, AP Literature and Composition, English 1301 and 1302, and English IV.

In addition to inspiring young adults’ lifelong appreciation of the written word, Mrs. Puente enjoys practicing yoga, travelling, and cooking.
